WebSurvey@UW - Scored Surveys

This document describes how to set-up a scored item in a survey.

A scored survey is where the survey creator assigns point values to certain answers. This is typically done to assist in the survey analysis process. Point values can be associated with questions that have predefined values. The types of questions that can have points values associated with them are checkboxes, option buttons, and dropdown lists.

It's possible that not all answers in a question will have a point value associated with it. Therefore, when calculating the score for a survey, any question or answer to a question that does not have a point value associated with it is simply ignored.

Data about the scores for any survey with point values associated to it can be viewed, by default, in the reports.
