This document describes how to add an item to a library

New items can be added to a library in two ways. The first way is to create a new question from scratch. The second way is to click on the “Copy Existing Item” button, and copy an item from an existing survey.

To add a new item:

  1. Click on the Libraries icon LibrariesIcon in the tool bar. You will be taken to the Libraries screen where the libraries that you have created and all publicly available libraries will be listed.
  2. Click on the design icon DesignIcon next to the library where you wish to add the item. You will be taken to the “Modify Library” screen.
  3. Click on the insert button insert and you will be taken to the Insert Item window.

  5. Choose the question type from the dropdown menu and create the item just as you would for a survey.
  6. When you have completed the appropriate fields, click on the Save button save.
  7. You will be taken to the “Modify Library” screen again, only this time your item will appear and you will have the option to insert new items or modify or delete the ones that you have previously entered.

  8. To add additional items, click on the insert buttoninsert.
  9. When you have completed inserting items, Click Done done

To copy an existing item into a Library:

Items can be copied from any survey that you have created. Copying an existing item copies all options and answers.

  1. From the Modify Library window, click on the insert button  insert
  2. Click on the copy existing item button CopyExistingItem
  3. LibraryCopyItem

  4. Select the Survey, where the item is currently located, from the drop down menu.
  5. Select the Item from the drop down menu.
  6. Click on the continue button continue
