WebSurvey@UW - Copying an Existing Survey

This document describes how to create a new survey, by copying an existing survey.

When creating a survey by copying an existing survey, the existing survey will be copied in its entirety. You will only be able to copy a survey that you have access to in WebSurvey@UW. All survey options, questions, page conditions, etc. are copied to the new survey. If the survey being copied has responses, none of the responses are copied. After copying the survey, you can then change the name of the survey, and modify as needed.

To create a new survey by copying an existing survey:

1. Click on the New Survey icon in the tool bar, or on the Create New Survey Button  in the upper right hand corner.



2. Enter a Title for your Survey.
3. Click on “From Existing” button.
4. Choose a survey to copy from the Survey Drop Down menu.
5. Click the Save button .

You now have an identical copy of the original survey that you can modify, launch, preview and deploy as you wish.
