Enabled Voice Mail - Setup for First Time Users

EVM for Octel will send notifications of new Voice Mail messages to your Email, or will copy and deliver voice and fax messages as attached files. To access these messages, you will use your normal Email client.

evmFind Me allows callers to reach you when you are away from your regular phone by forwarding calls to the number at your current location. If you are not available, the caller is transferred back to your Voice Mail.

You must be a current Voice Mail subscriber to use EVM

Go to https://evm.doit.wisc.edu

• Get default pin by clicking on the link for first time users
1. Enter your net ID and Password
2. You will be redirected to a page which contains the default pin
3. Copy the default pin
4. Follow the link back to the login screen.
5. Paste or type the default pin into the pin field
• Enter your 10 digit mailbox number and the default EVM pin at the login screen
• First time users will be prompted for a new EVM pin number
• At the "EVM User Configuration" screen:
1. Enter your Voice Mail password in the appropriate field
2. Enter your email address in the following fields
   • Return address
   • evm Notify – email1
   • evm Delivery – email1
3. Under "evmDelivery Voice," check ALL
4. Check the activate button for the features you wish to use:
   • evmNotify
   • evmDelivery
   • Fax
5. Click on Submit Changes
6. Logout
