My WebSpace (Win) - Windows Application Will Not Save Files Using WebDAV

This document explains issues that exist with some applications and using WebDAV with the https protocol.

I am not using Microsoft Office and my application will not save to Web Folders. What can I do?

There are several commonly used applications that are not currently designed to use some of the featues WebDAV or Web Folders over a secure connection (https). Some of these applications include Corel Office, Star Office and WordPad. When using these applications, you can use the web interface (browser), or you can drag and drop the files using your Windows Explorer or My Computer windows.

You may also purchase a client application from the DoIT Tech Store. The client application is from Xythos and is designed to integrate all of your Windows applications with the My WebSpace application. This client will allow you to access, open and save documents within your application as though they are housed on a local drive on your PC. This client costs $40 and can be purchased from the DoIT Tech Store at http://techstore.doit.wisc.edu
